# C64 Binary Analyzer

A cross-platform disassembler and reverse-engineering tool for Commodore 64 machine code.

Load `.prg`, `.bin`, or `.d64` files, inspect the disassembly in a fully interactive table, patch bytes, add labels and bookmarks, and export your work when you're done.

## Requirements

- Python 3.10 or newer

- tkinter

- Optional: `tkinterdnd2` for drag-and-drop loading

- Optional: VICE for emulator testing

## How to Run

```bash

python3 analyzer.py

```

You can also open a file directly:

```bash

python3 analyzer.py myprogram.prg

python3 analyzer.py game.d64

```

## Supported File Types

- `.prg` - Commodore 64 program files with an embedded load address

- `.bin` - Raw binaries where you enter the load address manually

- `.d64` - 1541 disk images with a file picker for PRG contents

## Controls

- Double-click the ASM column to follow jumps and branches

- Double-click the Notes column to add annotations

- Double-click the Bytes, Hex, or Dec column to patch bytes

- Right-click rows for labels, bookmarks, and breakpoints

- Use the search bar to find text across ASM and Notes
